Craig Zurawski As executive administrator of the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments, Craig Zurawski serves as the coordinator of programs and initiatives developed through the collaboration of member firms. Zurawski has been responsible for negotiating strategic partnerships and sponsorships of workshops and special events with the U.S. Green Building Council and the World Green Building Council, International Facility Management Association and Hospitals for a Healthy Environment. He has also been involved in the creation of educational programs that engage industry professional organizations, nationally respected college faculty, researchers and leaders of private industries of the building trade media. Zurawski’s experience in environmental and energy programs spans more than 20 years and includes the creation and execution of successful events regionally and nationally.

Tim Cole Tim Cole has been with Forbo for the past 17 years and involved in the flooring industry since 1970. During his tenure at Forbo, Cole has served as a technical representative, sales manager and director. He also oversees the technical, marketing and customer service in North America. Cole worked in Europe as a product innovation manager for the linoleum division. Currently, Cole is responsible for product management and the development of all training programs for Forbo North America. In addition, Cole is responsible for keeping up with life cycle assessment, indoor air quality and other environmental issues. Cole is also a member of the US Green Building Council.

Paul von Paumgartten Paul von Paumgartten, a member of the senior management team, develops business opportunities while leveraging the energy efficiency and environmental record of Johnson Controls. Von Paumgartten manages Johnson Controls High Performance Green Buildings business, which includes structures that are designed, built, renovated, operated or reused in an economical and resource-efficient manner. A former member of the US Green Building Council executive committee, von Paumgartten was honored with the organization’s Leadership Award in 2005 for his many years of service in the development of LEED. During the past 20 years, von Paumgartten has served Johnson Controls as the national manager of lighting services and director of performance contracting. Paul has assisted Johnson Controls twice by earning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR award for the company's involvement and promotional efforts.

Gerrit Reinders Gerrit Reinders’ areas of expertise include high performance green buildings, energy management, renewable energy, energy metering and energy information systems, as well as the environmental impact of energy consumption. Reinders’ career with Johnson Controls started in 1986, and he has held various management roles in North America and Europe. He is a frequent speaker at national and international events as an expert in sustainable buildings, energy management, energy deregulation and energy information management. Reinders has published various articles on energy management in magazines including: “Corporate Real Estate Leader Magazine,” “Building Operating Management,” “Consulting-Specifying Engineer” and “The Utilities Project - Volume 2.” Reinders has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Rob Kohlhagen Rob Kohlhagen has been in the cleaning and maintenance profession for more than 20 years working in areas such as disinfection technology, food safety and cleaning process improvement. Kohlhagen has led a team to develop the state of the art environmentally superior cleaning program called "Healthy High Performance Cleaning." HHPC combines environmentally preferable chemicals, equipment, training and best practices to reduce environmental impacts and improve indoor environmental quality. Kohlhagen earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois and his master’s degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management Northwestern University.

Rob Zimmerman Rob Zimmerman is involved with all aspects of water conservation related to plumbing fixtures and faucets at the Kohler Co. Zimmerman is a member of American Water Works Association, the Wisconsin Water Resources Association and regularly participates in meetings of the Plumbing Manufacturers’ Institute. He is also a member of the steering committee that helped advise the EPA on the formation of its new water-efficient product labeling program called WaterSense. Zimmerman is a LEED accredited professional and has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s degree in engineering management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Bill Gregory With more than 30 years at Milliken & Company, Bill Gregory maintains a broad knowledge of sustainable manufacturing and products. Gregory serves as a member of the senior management team for Milliken. He develops business opportunities and oversees direction of technologies and sustainable products used by facility managers, architects, designers and specifiers throughout the building industry. Gregory has a degree in textile engineering and chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Robert Dehne Robert Dehne, a registered architect, is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Construction Specifiers Institute. Dehne is responsible for the development and implementation of educational tools to assist the commercial building envelope products businesses in serving the specifier customer base. Dehne participates in product development and market introduction, as well as providing technical assistance to both the Owens Corning sales organization and the product specifier. Dehne is also active in sustainability and energy conservation initiatives inside and outside the company, and was recently a member of the team that is seeking LEED EB Silver Certification for Owens Corning world headquarters. Dehne has worked in various architectural offices as designer, project manager, associate and principal.

Gale Tedhams Gale Tedhams, director of sustainability at Owens Corning, is responsible for leading Owens Corning’s global sustainability strategy. This strategy focuses on the value Owens Corning products deliver to the marketplace and the planet; processes and the progress being made to improve these products; and people and their commitment to, and impact on, sustainability. Tedhams joined Owens Corning in 1978 and has delivered successful results across several of its businesses and functional areas, including manufacturing leadership (in both the US and Europe), global diversity leadership, and most recently, product line leadership as the insulating systems residential product line and program manager.

Steve McGuire Steve McGuire is responsible for the Sustainability and Environmental Marketing programs for Philips Lighting in North America and develops the sustainability business and market plans for all the market segment teams. Over the past 23 years he has performed numerous jobs within the lighting industry from manufacturing, facility maintenance, development engineering, and environmental compliance. McGuire has managed all Philips internal sustainable programs (Eco-Vision, Eco-Design, Green Flagships) for many years. While working in the development department, McGuire was one of the patent holders for the (low mercury) ALTO products Philips offers. McGuire signed the EPA’s National Partnership for Environmental Priorities Program and becoming the first company in the nation to commit all of its U.S.-based plants in the voluntary program.




Richard (Rik) Master

Richard (Rik) Master Rik Master is currently manager of architectural systems for USG Corporation and one of the two vice presidents of the AIA Chicago chapter. Master’s responsibilities include architectural technical support, plaster applications/support and environmental issues for USG’s products and systems. Master worked as a forensic/research architect, researching and developing construction systems at the USG Research Center for 18 years. Master has become an acknowledged nationwide expert for the advancement of architecture and the built environment. Master has written numerous articles for architectural magazines on the environment and architecture and has given various lectures world-wide.
